Sport Car Exhaust

The main characteristics of a sports exhaust are the way it's built, if you are looking to take your vehicle on track days or want to unleash the maximum performance from your car, then there is only one way to build the exhaust, and that is a mandrel-bent system.

A mandrel-bent exhaust retains the internal diameter of the tube throughout its path, meaning when bends are created to follow the shape of the system this is achieved in one of two ways, one is to use a crush bends the other is mandrel. Crush bends are a cheaper way to build exhaust systems; the downside is that it can be restrictive. For most vehicle owners, this can work perfectly well as the restrictions will not have a significant effect for an average road car.

All performance exhausts are built using a mandrel; you’ll be pleased to learn even our silences are constructed with mandrel bends so there is no reduction in diameter which will hinder performance while still controlling the sound.

If you are unsure which is the best way for you, talk to us. A mandrel system will be a lot more expensive than a crush bend exhaust. Before we build a new exhaust for you, our exhaust technician will understand how you want to use the vehicle, how you wanted to look, perform and sound. Only then can we give you a quotation and an installation date, for this we strongly recommend you run the vehicle over because we will not be able to provide you with any quotes on the telephone.
